Peanut BlossomsBake at 375 degrees for 10 min.
1 3/4 cup sifted flour.1 tsp soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cp shortening
1/2 cp peanut butter
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 egg, beaten
2 TBSP milk
1 tsp vanilla
60 Hershey chocolate kisses
Sift together flour, soda and salt. Cream together shortening and peanut butter. Gradually add sugars; creaming well. Add egg, milk, vanilla. Beat well. Blend dry ingredients gradually mix thoroughly. Shape by rounded teaspoonfuls into balls. Roll in sugar. Place on ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 min. Remove and place kisses on top pressing down so edges crack. Return to oven for 2-5 more min. Makes about 3 dozen.
