Rum Balls or Bourbon Balls
1/2 lb vanilla wafers, crushed
1 cup walnuts or pecan pieces
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1/4 cup rum or bourbon
2 TBSP cocoa
Mix all ingredients. Let stand. Roll into balls, roll in powdered sugar. (Oil hands to prevent sticking.) Roll a second time and store in cookie tin.
Makes approximately 4 dozen.
Kirsch Bombs
Substitute Kirsch for rum/bourbon above
Substitute Hershey's Special Dark cocoa for cocoa above.
